9 of Wands
The 9 of wands is the right metaphor for life for me right now - I know what I want, know a bit about the journey, and I have to take a breather every once in a while. This card is about resiliency in the face of adversity.
But I have to say, it's not the right card for my tarot project overall. Seriously, do I need to paint all 78 of these cards? This is only card #10. And I'm painting them out of order, as I find them relevant to my current experience.
Solutions? One friend (thank you, Chelsea) suggested turning them into oracle cards, and scrapping the tradition. There's also the AI solution using Midjourney, but I'm not inspired. When it comes to a choice between completing a project with AI or just leaving it to gather dust, I can't be bothered to fuss with the AI. It doesn't bring me joy.
So, for now, I'll keep plodding along with a few of these cards per year, and hope I live long enough to finish the deck :) Or follow Chelsea's advice.
